I then started with simple silhouettes drawn in black biro in a sketchbook to jot down ideas, developing a few into a simple sketch when I found one I particularly liked.
Male Thumbnail Designs
Female Thumbnail Designs
Once I felt I couldn't create any new ideas, I began sketching out some of the thumbnails in my sketchbook and Photoshop, experimenting with a bit more detail of clothing ideas.
With the designs above, I was trying to imitate the design of a fox, particularly the darker legs and arms, which could be some sort of mud, and create Fox like ears through the styling of the hair.

I really like these designs, they capture a good balance between hand made clothes and 16th century materials.
I like this design on the left, but feel it may be too tribal.
I really like this badger hat design, I wanted to develop ideas of different animal furs the siblings would wear.
